THE JOURNEY OF UPSC and THE STARS ON THE SHOULDER...

WE all Indians are always ready to flaunt about our ⚔INDIAN ARMED FORCES⚔ or THE INDIAN CIVIL SERVICES to everybody who asked about it. We are ever ready to help when it comes to country.

Each and every person tries to serve the nation in his own methods throughout his entire life. Common civilians serve in the form of paying taxes, some people does that by doing social work, some people feed the poor and needy, and some try to be a good citizen.
Some of them feel that they should try to bring changes in the system and so they enter the system itself as bureaucrats and diplomats.

"⚔BUT for me the best way to serve is to serve under the uniform, to serve under the tricolor.⚔"

The pride that a person gets on his face when he dons the uniform is something which is unbeatable.
When a man or a woman decides that his final decision is that he is going to serve the country in uniform, he also asks for the support that is going to be needed in order to achieve it.

Everybody is aware, that UPSC is not a piece of cake that everybody can eat. It`s the toughest exam. serving nation is not that easy. It tests you in every possible way to check whether you will be able to handle the burden of the most populated country with different kinds of people, different kinds of religions, thoughts, people with different economic thoughts, people who follow the rules and the people who do not, people who support feminism and people who don`t. And talking about THE ARMED FORCES will you be able to keep in mind that the soldiers serving under you are also important, respecting them is also important, they try see to what extent you can be respectful with the soldiers of your unit if you are an officer.

All these let`s say qualities imbibe in a person through his own background. The mentality of the family plays a very important role here. Mentality plays an important role in two ways. Firstly, on the personal level. The attitude of a Gentleman or a Lady Officer depends on how he or she has been brought up right from his/her childhood. The proportion in which they give respect the same is given back to them.
The second major role of Mentality is related with the family`s role. The major need of an UPSC aspirant is to get the support and faith from his family. Family is the one and everything a person requires during his preparations.

Right from waking you up from the sleep till not letting you sleep at the late night in order to study. The mother who taught you to do the work on your own, stops you to even get up from your place by bringing the glass of water herself. It ain`t the aspirant that works for the uniform alone, but it`s his entire family that struggles along with him.  I am an defense aspirant. My grandmother doesn`t even allow me to sit and play with my phone for more than a minute. She always try to give her part of support by continuously scolding me for using the cell phone.

After lot of hard work and consistency and rejections, the aspirant finally becomes an officer in his desired field.  Now does the role of the family ends here? NO!!!
Now the family supports you mentally when you have to stay away from them in the outside world, when you finally have to stay 6-7 months away from them each year during your service period. The external support from the world is always going to be there, people in the outer world are also helpful and supportive, but, at the end of the day you will try to search the comfort that you get only with your family. When you will be at the border the only thing at the end of the day will matter is that your loved are still there with you not physically but emotionally. The lovely letters, the phone calls, the video calls all these keeps you motivated to serve with full heart and courage at the borders.

FAMILY is the only support system that plays an important role in the journey of preparation till the day of-
