 The concert…🥁

A few days back along with my family I visited one of the most exciting programs we visit each year.  it`s an event which we celebrate each year. Being Gujarati, we cannot stay away from playing garba for a long time. So, we Gujarati`s arrange an event named “Dandiya Nights” each year. To enjoy the fullest, we call a new band each year from different cities. This year the band specially came from Mumbai.

I want to share this event with you guys…

We all know that a band gets its popularity because of its amazing singers. And no doubt the singers need to be appreciated. It`s the singers that create the complete vibe. There a boy only 15 years old was the member of the singer`s group. Everyone present there was cheering for his turn to sing. He was an amazing singer considering his age. He could beat almost all the singers of his age group. Also, all the other singers were fantastic.

But, my favorite part of the event was something else. From last few years, I have started getting interest in something else. Being a Gujarati, I have always loved to play garba. No doubt, I have always won the garba competitions too.

But from last few years something has stopped me from playing garba. I still remember, 2 years back when I was too busy enjoying playing garba, I noticed something most mesmerizing. Something that grabbed my attention. While I was passing in front of the band, I immediately stopped. You know why? Because I saw the band behind the singers. I saw the way in which they were enjoying themselves was the most favorite part of the night. While everyone else was busy enjoying with the song and the singers, I just couldn`t get my attention away from the band behind the singers. I realized that I was obsessed with the band which was playing different types of drums behind the singers. I think they had their different space in the entire event.

I just wondered that if there was no band and only singers were to sing, how would the event turnout… cause band is something that brings energy to not only the singers but also the audience… It`s very difficult for the singers to keep the show going without the band behind. Similarly, in our life we all can take big steps only because we know that there are people behind us that are always there to clean up our mess. It is very difficult to walk in the phase of life alone without any support, without any companionship, or without family and friends who wouldn`t let you go off alone. They are always there to hold your hand. Falguni Pathak can sing without background music, no doubt she is one of the best. But her song alone can`t make your legs move, it is the band, it is the drums that pounces your heart to go on the floor and dance.  Be the background band in someone`s life...
